Former First Lady Melania Trump made her return to the campaign trail to host a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans with proceeds going to the campaigns of her husband, former President Donald Trump, and other GOP candidates seeking election in 2024, over the weekend, Page Six reports.

The event, which reportedly included tickets sold as high as $50,000, was held at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday (April 20) night, was attended by 60 guests including Caitlyn Jenner, Dr. Mehmet Oz and Elizabeth Ailes. A GOP source told Page Six that the event aimed to raise "funds to inform voters in crucial swing states about [former] President Trump's LGBT record and his goals for a second term."

Melania's appearance comes shortly after Mary Jordan, the author of The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump, told The Guardian that the former first lady was prepared to campaign again.

“It’s not going to be in volume but you’ll see her at key moments,” Jordan said. “She likes to heighten the interest in her appearances by being scarce. It’s very intentional, like a movie star who doesn’t want exposure. She’s hyper-aware of her persona and her celebrity. This is a model who learned to get covers of magazines so she wants to be in control.”

Melania has kept a low profile since her husband's defeat in the 2020 presidential election with few public appearances including attending the memorial service for fellow former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, the funerals of her mother, Amalija Knavs, and sister-in-law, Maryanne Trump Barry, an Easter brunch at Mar-a-Lago and a naturalization ceremony in Washington.
