Research analysts at Morgan Stanley think that renewable energy like wind and solar power are becoming so cheap, not even politics can stop them. Renewable energy is becoming the cheapest option, so they say the U.S. will be exceed the Paris agreement commitments even if President Trump withdraws.

In a new report, the analysts say they project that with the exception of a few countries in Southeast Asia, “renewables will be the cheapest form of new-power generation across the globe” by 2020.

They write, “We expect the U.S. to exceed the Paris commitment of a 26-28% reduction in its 2005-level carbon emissions by 2020.” Now that’s something to look forward to!
