Mid November already??? They say when you get older the time goes by faster…. and guess what? They are right! It's already the 21st of November and as a family we're making plans to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday together. I know I speak for my Touring and Travel Director Roy Dyckman in wishing all of our listeners a very Happy Thanksgiving full of friends, family, maybe football and hopefully if there's no snow on the ground a fun hour or so on the bikes!
Coming soon to a theater near us will be the John Penton story. I can't wait. The Penton family , iconic legends in the motorcycling community and the story about John Penton and his ability to work magic with what is now KTM to build and bring to America the Penton motorcycle. This will be a unique look into motorcycling in the 60's. We are very fortunate to have the Penton family still active in motorcycling and as nearby as Amherst, Ohio. I will update everyone as soon as I learn more about the release date. We will try and host a gala party for the premiere at a theater like Tinsel town in Boardman, Ohio.
Last Tuesday on the 2 Wheel Power Hour I had the opportunity to have as my guest Bob and Quinn Wentzel who hail from the Berlin Center area. Quinn is a rising star in off road disciplines and most notably the Trials events. Quinn is a Sherco sponsored rider putting things in place to next the next step to Pro Level. If you own a business and could benefit from sponsoring a young man who is professional in every respect please email him at firstname.lastname@example.org
Clear Channels Mix 98.9 FM is playing continuous Christmas music and will do so through January 1, 2014. There's nothing like sitting down with the family over these coming holidays with Christmas Carols playing softly in the background. I dare say it brings back many memories from years gone by with my Mom and Dad and what family meant to them.

I have put knobbies on my Suzuki DR 125 and will do some fun type of woods riding this fall/winter when weather and time permits. Maybe a ride and follow up story on the Hatfield McCoy Trials? I will also be riding in the Trials Inc. events this coming season. I purchased a Honda TL 125 for the vintage class and am actively looking for a 1998 or newer Honda XR 100 to campaign on the Ohio Mini Road Racing League! If you know of a reasonable priced bike let me know. I might also be interested in a trade for my Suzuki .
Roy and I look forward to the coming months reporting on the events we attend, the rallies we ride to and of course motorcycle racing. My granddaughter turns 5 in July and I'm already eyeing a PW 50 to see how she might like racing at the Western Reserve Flat Track. If that doesn't hold any appeal to her my grandson "Biggie" Greyson looks to have a little Dare devil in him :)
Don't forget our title sponsor fairway Ford..they really do things the fairway. I've had two friends purchase F 150's from fairway and both said they got the truck they wanted at the price they could afford. Just about says it all…now go see the Blue Oval boys and girls at Fairway Ford :)
I am so lucky. I have a motorcycle show, lots of friendships that have grown out of the show and many terrific sponsors, I am so lucky!
Motorcycling, we'll all living in the best of times…now throw you leg over the saddle and go out and make some memories.
Hang in There and see you down the road!
