Hi everybody and welcome to the best riding month of all..October!  Roy and I are celebrating with our annual trip to Barber Motorsports Park home of the Vintage Festival. Plenty to see and do. Road Racing, café bikes, scooters, vintage bikes, swap meet , trials events and a cool motorcycle auction!

We'll join up with Al "The Gadget Guy" Navecky Thursday morning and make our way to Nashville and layover for the night. After a good night's rest we'll make the rest of the trip to Barber arriving mid afternoon Friday. Looking forward to seeing all my friends and check out the Triumph exhibit. I know our buddy Jim Iacozili from Triumph of Warren will be there for a dealer meeting! Barber Motorsports is situated just outside of Birmingham in a little town called Leeds. Bruce Williams vintage BMW owner and restorer was kind enough to transport our camping gear to Barber so we'll swing through the swap meet and pick up our tents and get set up in Lot C… after a weekend of racing Sunday night we'll begin the second half our of trip to Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach, Florida. We always stay at our away from home hotel, the LaPlaya Resorts & Suites where we will broadcast live on the 15th at 6pm. If you're in Daytona you're cordially welcomed to stop by. Special congratulations to Mary Jo Hogue who hails from Ellwood city, Pa  Mary Jo  and her husband are the winners of the New Castle Harley Davidson Biketoberfest trip getaway and she is looking to 7 wonderful days of sun, surf and sand while hubby rides his Harley around :)

Just wanted to give you an update on my racing season. I had a great time racing in the Ohio Mini Roadracing League. The guys were great, the racing action hotly contested and several new champions crowned. My show on October 8th will recap the season with Kent Klawon mentioning the various champions. I finished 6th in my novice division in F4. The combination of being twice as old and twice as heavy led me to my downfall. I probably could do better but it's hard not to eat!

Kudos to all the good people at OMRL for a fine season of fun, friendship and lasting memories.

Well I have to pack and get the Beemer ready to go so here's hoping you MAKE TIME to swing your leg over your bikes saddle and go out an experience the Fall Foliage only October can bring to Ohio!

 Hang in There!
