The reigning NBA Finals Most Valuable Player is now an unrestricted free agent.
Multiple reports state Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard has declined the player option in his contract for next season.
Leonard was due to make just north of 21-million-dollars next season, and it's believed he is seeking a max contract exceeding 35-million-dollars per season.
The Raptors can offer him a maximum contract worth nearly 50-million-dollars more than any other team's offer.
Leonard averaged 26.6 points per game for the Raptors this past season and guided them to their first championship in franchise history.
