CLEVELAND--Jose Ramirez had a key RBI single in the eighth to bring the Indians within one run, but it was not to be as Matt Chapman's two run homer put the game out of reach as the Oakland A's defeated the Cleveland Indians 6-4.

After the game, Terry Francona recapped the game and Carlos Carrasco's (4-4) struggles as he allowed three runs and threw 100 pitches in five innings of action.

Jurickson Profar and Matt Olson each homered against Carrasco. The A's have the Indians number as the A's are 7-3 against the Tribe in the last 10 meetings.

A's starter Brett Anderson (5-3) gets the win but left the game with a cervical strain in the fifth when he avoided a hit ball from Roberto Perez up the middle in which the bat was broken as well.

Indians will start RHP Trevor Bauer (4-2, 3.76) on Tuesday night against RHP Chris Bassitt (2-1, 1.93).
