Cleveland -- The Athletics took advantage of Trevor Bauer's wildness early on, as Mark Cahna hit a pinch hit two run home run in the third to propel the A's to a 5-3 win, their 5th straight, Tuesday night at Progressive Field.

Bauer stayed around in the game pitching six innings and striking out five, but he walked four and hit three batters as he could not find his command. Bauer (4-3) is winless since April 30 and has been mired in a funk over his last few starts.

Jurickson Profar added a insurance run for the A's in the 8th by hitting a solo home run off Adam Cimber to give the A's the lead for good.

The only bright spots for the Indians came early on in the game when Francisco Lindor hit a leadoff homer, off of A's starter Chris Bassit, his 7th homer of the year. Then in the third inning Carlos Santana hit his team leading eighth home run of the year a solo shot to center, that pulled the Indians within one at 3-2.

The team tacked on another run in the fourth when Oscar Mercado continued his hot streak at the plate by knocking in Leonys Martin with a RBI double to pull back with in one at 4-3.

After that the Indians could only manage one hit past the fourth inning, and did not get a runner to second over the final five innings.

On the injury front, Roberto Perez was pulled after four innings to be evaluated for a head injury and in his post game press conference manager Terry Francona confirmed that Roberto was diagnosed with a concussion, and he will be re-evaluated on Wednesday to determine if they will place him on the 7-day concussion injured list.

It is a quick turnaround for both teams as they play the series finale between at 1:10 at Progressive Field. On the mound for the Athletics will be Frankie Montas (5-2, 2.67 ERA) and for the Indians will be Jefry Rodriguez (1-3, 3.45 ERA).
