Indians Shutout Tigers 8-0 on Humid July Night

CLEVELAND--Because of the 2 hour rain delay, it will not show but Zach Plesac had another incredible night as he pitched a one-hitter through three innings. Indians dominate the Tigers 8-0 and with the Twins loss to the New York Mets, the Indians are now only 5 games back of the AL Central (they were 11 behind the Twins on June 3rd).

The Tribe jumped all over Tigers starter Ryan Carpenter (1-6) with seven runs through three innings.

For the second night in a row, we pause for the 2 hour rain delay tweet.

The Indians also honored my good friend and long-time Cleveland sports reporter Matt Loede in his fight against cancer.

Indians will start RHP Mike Clevinger (2-2, 3.99) Wednesday night against RHP Spencer Turnbull (3-8, 3.59).
