WWE superstar Roman Reigns teased a potential timeline for the remainder of his WWE future during an exclusive interview with Vanity Fair ahead of his WrestleMania 41 Night One main event match against CM Punk and Seth Rollins on Saturday (April 19) night.
Reigns, 39, whose real name is Joe Anoa'i, has served as WWE's franchise player for the past decade, which included a 1,316-day reign as WWE Universal Champion that ended at WrestleMania 40.
“After I finish the contract that I’m in, we probably got another year or two max,” Reigns told Vanity Fair. “Then it’s time to take on a less physical form of entertainment.”
Reigns is a member of the legendary Anoa'i wrestling family and is the cousin of WWE legend and A-list actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, having appeared in his film Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, as well as the movie The Wrong Missy.
“Roman Reigns is a massive star and completely unique. We often say at WWE that the next star never looks like the last star. As John Cena winds down his career, it has been great to see our current perennial WrestleMania main eventer, Roman Reigns, look, sound, and act in a completely different way than anyone you have seen previously at WWE,” said Nick Khan, the president of WWE, via Vanity Fair.
WrestleMania 41 will air live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Peacock Saturday and Sunday (April 20) nights.
