Firefighters Rescue Man Trapped In Tube Slide

A 40-year-old man had to be rescued after getting stuck inside a playground tube slide at Northeast Elementary School in Vernon, Connecticut.

The man was wedged sideways, folded at the waist, with his head and feet trapped in the middle section.

Firefighters used ventilation equipment to cool him and then cut open part of the slide to free him.

Within 30 minutes, he was safely removed, evaluated by EMS, and ultimately “refused treatment and transport to a local emergency room” according to the fire department.
