After a high school football game in Lafayette, Louisiana, Teurlings Catholic High School running back Hudson Clavelle stayed behind to help clean up the stands. He had recently returned from an injury and had played on kickoff during the game. His head coach, Michael Courville, shared a photo of the athlete holding a trash bag and helping the custodian to collect garbage, shining a light on the young man’s humility and leadership.
Clavelle says he offered to help because he saw the school custodian, known as Mr. B, cleaning the stands alone with only a small bucket. He explains that he just wanted to help Mr. B when he saw how much work there was left to do. The custodian is well-known and appreciated within the school community.
The act of kindness received praise online, drawing attention as a positive example of service and respect. Coach Courville says the moment reflects the character and values of the Teurlings Catholic community.
