Traveling with young children can be a challenge, but one dad is thankful for the kindness a stranger showed his 16-month-old daughter at the airport while they waited for a flight. Kevin Armentrout, a nutritionist and former U.S. Marine, was headed to San Diego with his little girl when a man went out of his way to help entertain her and he shared their sweet story on Facebook .
Armentrout writes that his toddler was being her usual inquisitive self, walking around and trying to say hi to everyone, when she came up to one man who asked if she wanted to sit with him. He posts that the man pulled out his tablet, showed the tot how to draw with it and watched cartoons with her as they waited … for like 45 minutes!
“Watching them in that moment, I couldn’t help but think, different genders, different races, different generations, and the best of friends,” Armentrout writes. “This is the world I want for her.”
The dad goes on to thank “Joseph from @Samsungs in Oklahoma“ for “showing my daughter what kindness and compassion looks like.”
